I Won the Lightroom 2 Book!

Ready My apologies if this post is a bit uncomprehending - I’m still wearing off the initial shock of winning something. To catch you up - I went on a Photowalk with a group of approximately fifty other local photographers and walked around and took photos in form of a social event. As mentioned in the previous post, this was a great opportunity for me to ask questions, observe and learn from this amazing . And that’s exactly what I did.

The initial intention of this world wide event is a social interactions between other photographers around your area, however the second intention involves prizes. Yes prizes! Each leader from each city, picks their favorite photo out of all the photos uploaded by the photowalkers, and that lucky person gets a copy of Scott Kelby’s Lightroom 2 book. I was one of those lucky people!

I want to generously thank Timothy Tonge for picking my fireman photo cleverly entitled “Ready”. I am truly humbled to know that people found my particular shot worth a view, a comment, and perhaps even a Lightroom 2 book!

On the flip side, me being an amateur in the photography field, with a fairly young Nikon D80, I keep having doubts in my head about Tim’s pick for the national level competition (in which the best photo overall will win the grand prize). Because of this I tend to feel guilty about having my photo chosen because of so many other amazing photos that I sifted through in the of our Denver Photowalk group. However, I trust Tim’s opinion in his pick, and to be honest - I am happy to just have been a part of this phenomenal and glad I could share it with all the amazing people and photographers.

Keep zooming, (I sure will)

Zoomrix.
